Meanwhile, investors are keeping a keen eye on ceasefire negotiations aimed at resolving the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. U.S. representatives are set to engage with their Russian counterparts today, following discussions held on Sunday with Ukrainian officials. The financial sector experienced gains, with notable increases seen in shares of Banca Mediolanum (up 3%), Finecobank (up 2.3%), Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena (up 1.8%), and Banca Generali (up 1.6%).
