In the final quarter of 2024, Albania's gross domestic product (GDP) experienced a 3.6% increase compared to the same period from the previous year. This growth, a deceleration from the revised 4.2% seen in the preceding quarter, represents the slowest economic expansion since early 2023. During this time, consumer spending advanced by 3.3%, and government expenditures saw a modest rise of 0.6%. Additionally, gross fixed capital formation increased by 2%. Regarding net external demand, exports declined by 1.7%, while imports grew by 3.12%. On a seasonally adjusted basis, the GDP showed a 0.7% quarterly growth in the fourth quarter of 2024.
