Visitor arrivals to Slovenia experienced an increase in November, primarily driven by travelers from neighboring countries such as Italy, Croatia, and Austria, according to data published by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia on Tuesday.
Tourist arrivals surged by 20% compared to the previous year, reaching 311,000, while overnight stays increased by 14%, totaling 756,000, as reported by accommodation establishments across the country.
Domestic tourists contributed 109,000 arrivals and slightly over 294,000 overnight stays, reflecting a 4% increase in both metrics compared to the same period last year, the statistical office noted.
In related financial news, Slovenia's housing prices have risen once again in the third quarter, while sales have hit a 14-year low. Moreover, the central bank chiefs of North Macedonia and Slovenia have expressed that financial stability has further strengthened.
Foreign tourist arrivals exceeded 202,000, marking a 30% increase from the previous year, and their overnight stays rose by more than 22%, reaching 462,000.
Cumulatively, for the first eleven months of this year, tourist arrivals were up by 6% year-on-year, totaling 6.2 million, and overnight stays were 5% higher, amounting to 16 million.
