US Stock Futures Rise on Tuesday

U.S. stock futures experienced an uptick on Tuesday, poised to extend a rally reaching two-week highs, driven by optimism that the Trump administration may ease some of its proposed tariff measures. President Trump disclosed that not all the threatened tariffs would be implemented on April 2nd, with certain countries potentially receiving exemptions. Concurrently, he hinted at new tariffs targeting the automotive and pharmaceutical sectors and proposed a 25% levy on any nation purchasing crude oil from Venezuela. Federal Reserve Governor Kugler acknowledged the currently restrictive policy stance but observed that progress toward achieving the 2% inflation target has decelerated since the previous summer, with the recent uptick in goods inflation proving "unhelpful." In corporate developments, Tesla shares increased by 2% in pre-market trading, despite a drop in the company’s market share in Europe. Conversely, UniFirst's shares plummeted over 10% following Cintas's decision to terminate talks to acquire the workwear provider at a valuation of $275 per share, while KB Home saw a 6% decline as it revised its full-year 2025 revenue projection downward.
