In February 2025, Bosnia and Herzegovina experienced an increase in consumer price inflation, reaching 3.5% year-on-year, compared to January's 3.3%. This marks the highest inflation rate since September 2023, largely influenced by a significant increase in food prices, which climbed to 7.2% from 6.3% the previous month. However, there was a deceleration in the price growth of housing and utilities, which eased to 0.4% from 0.8%. Similarly, the inflation rates for restaurants and hotels, and miscellaneous goods and services decreased to 5.9% from 7.1% and to 3.3% from 3.4%, respectively. Conversely, the downturn in transport costs deepened, moving from a decrease of 0.2% to 0.8%, and the decline in clothing and footwear prices intensified slightly, sliding to 8.9% from 8.7%. On a monthly scale, consumer prices experienced a growth of 0.7% in February, following a 1.4% rise in January.
