Slovenia's Tourist Arrivals Falls 1.4% in February

Tourist arrivals in Slovenia experienced a 1.4% decline in February 2025, totaling 297,850 visitors, after witnessing a significant 9.1% increase in the previous month. This downturn marks the first decrease over five periods. Specifically, domestic tourist numbers decreased by 4.7%, resulting in 119,401 visitors, whereas the influx of foreign tourists increased slightly by 1%, reaching 178,449. Notably, there was a reduction in visitors from Serbia (down 24%) and Italy (down 8.3%), contrasted with increases from Croatia (up 9%), Hungary (up 5.9%), and Austria (up 2.8%). The urban municipalities celebrated the highest number of tourist overnight stays, surging by 103.2%, followed closely by coastal municipalities with a 102.3% increase, and the capital city, which saw a near-doubling at 99.8%.
