Polaris Industries Provides Weak FY25 Outlook; Stock Down 7% - Update

Polaris Industries Inc. (PII), an automotive manufacturer, announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2024 on Tuesday. Alongside this, the company unveiled its guidance for adjusted earnings and sales growth for the full-year 2025.

For fiscal 2025, Polaris anticipates a decrease in adjusted earnings per share by approximately 65 percent, with sales projected to decline between 1 to 4 percent compared to the previous year. On average, analysts expect the company to deliver earnings of $3.33 per share, while forecasting a sales decline of 1.2 percent, totaling $7.02 billion for the year. It should be noted that analysts' projections typically do not account for special items.

The company foresees challenges to their margins due to an unfavorable mix, planned production cuts resulting in negative absorption, and the reinstatement of their employee profit-sharing program.
