Google announces job cuts in its recruitment division

On September 13, the management of Google announced a reduction in its recruitment division, Business Insider reported.

In January 2023, the company laid off 12,000 employees, marking the biggest staff cuts in the history of the Internet giant. Experts believe that the latest round of layoffs could affect not only recruiters but most of the company's staff positions.

According to company representatives, Google continues to invest "in top engineering and technical talent" despite the hardships. At the same time, the IT company has significantly slowed hiring and therefore reduced its need for recruiters in recent times.

Google is ready to support its laid-off employees by providing outplacement services and severance, the management of the tech titan added.
