Petrobras, formally known as Petroleo Brasileiro S.A., has sanctioned the distribution of extraordinary dividends amounting to R$ 20 billion, which translates to R$ 1.55174293 per common and preferred share currently in circulation. This allocation includes R$ 15.6 billion designated as intermediate dividends, derived from the capital remuneration reserve, while R$ 4.4 billion is allocated as interim dividends.
Shareholders holding Petrobras stock on the B3 exchange can anticipate receiving their payments on December 23, 2024. For ADR holders, distributions are set to commence on January 3, 2025.
In a recent development, Petrobras has announced that its Board of Directors has approved the Strategic Plan 2050 alongside the Business Plan for 2025-2029.
Within the framework of the Business Plan for 2025-29, Petrobras envisions making investments totaling US$111 billion. Of this, US$98 billion is allocated to projects already underway, with an additional US$13 billion earmarked for projects currently under assessment. These are opportunities with a less advanced stage of maturity and will require further financing studies before execution can proceed. Notably, this projected investment for the next five years represents a 9% increase over the volume outlined in the previous Strategic Plan 2024-28+.
