Not so long ago, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said that no one could guarantee a soft landing for the US economy.
Janet Yellen explains that the likelihood of such an outcome is reaching zero. Nevertheless, she expects such a scenario. The US Treasury Secretary supposes that the escalation of a conflict between Israel and Palestine has created additional obstacles. That is why it is necessary to predict the possible consequences of this conflict for the US economy.
Ignoring most factors, Janet Yellen still believes that a soft landing is the main scenario for the US economy. Such an idea is supported by “the resilience in the labor market and moderating wage pressure.”
"Of course, the situation in Israel causes additional concerns. I'm not saying soft landing is an absolutely sure thing. But I continue to think it's the most likely path," Yelled added.
