Serie A’s Juventus up for sale

According to Il Giornale, Italy’s oldest football club Juventus also known as “Juve” is put up for sale. Meanwhile, the club is facing financial troubles amid criminal charges against it. Notably, Juventus is among the top 10 best football clubs of the 20th century, according to FIFA. Last year, the Italian authorities launched a criminal case against the club over allegations of false accounting. Against this backdrop, the Juve team is living in its darkest times. At the end of July, UEFA banned Italy’s oldest club from participating in this season's European competitions. According to the media, the club is on the verge of collapse. At the moment, Juventus is owned by the Agnelli family. In November 2022, Juve president Andrea Agnelli stepped down from the position he had held since 2010.
