Musk reclaims his throne as world’s richest man

Elon Musk, the genius of our time, has reclaimed the title of the world’s richest man, according to the Forbes Billionaires List. The American entrepreneur has once again proved to be the wealthiest person on earth and regained the number one spot after briefly losing this title due to Tesla’s sinking stock. Before Tesla’s founder joined the billionaires’ race, the ranking could remain unchanged for years, with one person holding firmly to its number one place. Getting in the top 10 ranking was a big achievement itself, let alone being in the top 3. But with Elon Musk entering the game, the competition has become tougher. Now leaders can replace each other in a back-and-forth battle several times a month. A few weeks ago, Musk lost more than $18 billion of his fortune but then quickly recaptured his top status in the Forbes list. As of today, the billionaire’s net worth is estimated at $242.4 billion, surpassing Bernard Arnault, the CEO of luxury goods giant LVMH, with a fortune of $235.7 billion. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos took third place with a fortune of $151.5 billion. Bezos was followed by Oracle founder Larry Ellison with $148.5 billion and Microsoft founder Bill Gates with $120.7 billion of net worth.
