Intel founder Gordon Moore and his wife Betty spent $338 million on charity. In particular, their foundation contributed $200 million to environmental projects.

Mathematician James Simons, who founded the Renaissance Technologies Corporation hedge fund, and his wife transferred $328 million to charity. Of these, $25 million was directed to support mathematics and science teachers in public schools.

The ninth place of the ranking belongs to Hansjörg Wyss. Last year, he spent $315 million on charity, most of which went to wildlife preservation.

American entrepreneur Dustin Moskovitz and his wife Kari Tuna close the top 10 of the most generous billionaires. In total, the sum spent on charity amounted to $298 million. They sent money to help poor households in Kenya and Uganda, as well as to the malaria prevention fund, and to a company that develops safe technologies in the field of artificial intelligence.
