Visa Restrictions Index is a global ranking of countries according to the travel freedom that their citizens enjoy. This index shows how many other countries one can travel to visa-free.
For the fourth year, Germany tops an index ranking, boasting of visa-free access to 176 countries, the most of any nationality.
For the last three years the second place in the list has been occupied by Sweden. The number of countries which Swedes can visit without visa is 175.
Finland comes in the third place along with Italy, Spain, the United States, and Denmark with visa-free access to 174 countries.
Austria takes the fourth place, tied with Belgium, France, Netherlands, Norway, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Luxembourg, all of which offer access to 173 countries.
The fifth position in this rating is shared by three countries: Ireland, Japan, and New Zealand. The number of states where residents of these countries can travel to without visa is 172.
The sixth place among the most hospitable countries belongs to Canada, Greece, Portugal, and Switzerland with visa-free access to 171 countries.
The seventh place is taken by Australia and South Korea. Citizens of these countries can visit 170 countries without visa.
