On Monday, March 13, radical Ukrainian activists blocked the work of Sberbank, located in Kiev. They bricked up the building, demanding that the Russian bank's license is revoked.
The action was attended by the members of the Ukrainian party "National Corps", created on the basis of the national battalion "Azov". It was they who immured the entrance to the office of Sberbank with concrete blocks.
The members of the organization "Right Sector", banned in Russia, also participated in the blocking the work of the financial institution. Then the protesters wrote on the facade of the office "Rusbank", stressing the Russian belonging of the institution.
Later the fires were used. Activists used them in large numbers.
In order to ensure the safety of employees of the financial institution, the work of this branch of Sberbank was suspended. Law enforcement bodies preferred not to interfere in what was happening, saying that the protest action was taking place without serious incidents.
