The wealthiest woman in the world is 47-year-old Chinese Zhou Qunfei. By 2017, her fortune reached $7.4 billion. Qunfei has been working since 15 years. Behind she has 11 unsuccessful projects and one project that made her rich. Now she is the head of Lens Technology, a touch-screen glass supplier to Samsung and Apple.

The second place belongs to 84-year-old Marian Ilitch. Her fortune is equal to $5.9 billion. Marian and her husband founded Little Caesars pizzeria which brings the basic income.

The third place is taken by 76-year-old Chinese Chen Lihua. By 2017 her personal financial savings amounted to $5.6 billion. She made her career together with her husband. Lihua first attempted to merge in business at a rather mature age. Today her family owns one of the most famous Beijing developers Fu Wah International Group.

Wu Yajun, a 53-year-old citizen of China, takes the fourth place in the list. Her net worth is $4.7 billion. Wu Yajun is the co-founder and chairman of real estate developer Longfor, which has built more than 100 projects across China since 1993.

The fifth place goes to 58-year-old Pollyanna Chu from Hong Kong. Her wealth totals $4.5 billion.

The next place also belongs to a Hong Kong citizen. Lam Wai Ying's fortune is equal to $4.1 billion. Lam Wai Ying is the founder and chief executive of Biel Crystal Manufactory, a supplier of smartphone touch screens to Apple.

The seventh place goes to Diane Hendricks from the USA. She and her husband, Kenneth, founded ABC Supply Co, a roofing company in 1982, and now her fortune totals $3.8 billion.

Rafaela Aponte from Switzerland is on the eighth place in top 10 richest businesswomen in the world. By 2017, the net worth reached $3.7 billion. She and her husband launched their own cargo shipping venture, Mediterranean Shipping, now called MSC.

The ninth place belongs to Denise Coates from Great Britain with her fortune of $3.5 billion. Denise Coates is a chief executive of online gambling firm, Bet365.

The top 10 successful businesswomen of the planet is closed by a Chinese Zhang Xin. She and her husband run real estate developer Soho China. Her fortune totals $3.3 billion.
