FX.co ★ Latvia Industrial Output Highest Since 2022

Industrial production in Latvia experienced a year-on-year increase of 3.1% in February 2025, compared to a 0.6% rise in January. This represents the most substantial retail trade growth since November 2022. Manufacturing sales accelerated at a higher rate (4.1% compared to 1.9% in January), while the sector of electricity and gas supply saw a recovery (2.5% in contrast to a previous decrease of 6.6%). Conversely, the output for mining and quarrying slowed, recording a growth of 2% in comparison to 15.9% previously. On a monthly basis, industrial production growth decelerated to 1.2% in February 2025, following a downwardly revised figure of 2.2% for January.
