Thailand's business confidence indicator experienced a rise to 50.2 in March 2025, up from 48.9 in February. This shift signals the most optimistic sentiment since September 2023. The improvement is attributed to businesses' growing optimism towards export conditions, which increased to 54.1 from 46.8. Furthermore, there was a notable rise in optimism regarding production (54.2 compared to 50.4), performance (54.5 compared to 52.1), and the overall order books improved slightly to 51.2 from 51.6. The levels of pessimism regarding employment have also lessened slightly (49.1 compared to 48.9). However, perceptions of investment underwent a slight dip, moving from 52.8 down to 52.5. Conversely, the outlook over the next three months has seen a decline, with the expected business sentiment index dropping to 50.7 in March from February's 52.5, indicating persistent challenges within the real estate and non-manufacturing sectors.
