On Monday, the Ibovespa index experienced a 0.8% decline, closing at 131,321, as investors adopted a cautious approach amid renewed concerns over upcoming reciprocal tariffs from U.S. President Donald Trump and emerging domestic fiscal signals. It is reported that Trump plans to exempt certain sectors from the tariffs scheduled to commence on April 2nd. This may alleviate some trade disruptions, yet uncertainty remains. Domestically, Finance Minister Fernando Haddad expressed confidence in the fiscal framework's operation, while conceding that adjustments are required to maintain its effectiveness. Concurrently, the Central Bank's Focus survey revealed that analysts have reduced their projections for both inflation and economic growth in Brazil. Most stocks remained stagnant or fell, including major companies like Ambev, JBS, Companhia Sanea, B3, and Rede D'Or, which saw declines ranging from 1.5% to 2%.
