Chemring Group PLC (CHG.L) has announced that its subsidiary, Roke, has entered into a multi-year contract with a prominent US Prime Contractor to supply its high-speed Miniature Radar Altimeter. The agreement is valued at no less than £26 million, or approximately $32 million, and spans a period of four years. Delivery is slated to commence in October 2025, with production set to occur at Roke's facility in Romsey, UK.
Roke’s Miniature Radar Altimeter is distinguished as the smallest and lightest of its kind, specifically designed for integration into missile systems and uncrewed aerial vehicles. Utilizing Roke's proprietary software algorithms and cutting-edge digital signal processing hardware, the altimeter ensures exceptional accuracy in altitude measurement over both land and sea, particularly in high-speed, low-altitude, and challenging environments, according to a statement from Chemring.
