European Economic News Preview: France Industrial Output Data Due

On Friday, the European economic calendar presents a few key releases, with industrial production figures from France and construction Purchasing Managers' surveys from Germany and the UK taking center stage.

At 1:45 AM ET, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs will issue Swiss unemployment figures for September, anticipating a slight increase in the unemployment rate to 2.6% from August's 2.5%.

France's statistical agency, INSEE, will announce the industrial production data for August at 2:45 AM ET. Projections suggest a 0.3% monthly increase in output, contrasting with a 0.5% decline observed in July.

Spain's INE is scheduled to release its industrial production statistics for August at 3:00 AM ET. Analysts predict a 0.1% year-on-year growth, marking a recovery from a 0.4% decrease in July.

Germany's construction Purchasing Managers' survey results will be available at 3:30 AM ET, followed by the UK’s S&P Global construction PMI survey data at 4:30 AM ET. Analysts expect the UK index to decline slightly to 53.1 in September from 53.6 in August.

Finally, Italian retail sales data will be published at 6:00 AM ET.
