U.S. Import Prices Unexpectedly Unchanged In June

The U.S. Labor Department released a report on Tuesday revealing that import prices remained unexpectedly flat in June.

According to the report, import prices were unchanged in June, following a revised 0.2% dip in May. Economists had anticipated a 0.2% increase in import prices, in contrast to the originally reported 0.4% decline for the prior month.

Concurrently, the Labor Department indicated that export prices fell by 0.5% in June, after a revised decrease of 0.7% in May. Export prices were projected to decrease slightly by 0.1%, compared to the initially reported 0.6% drop for the previous month.
