European Economic News Preview: German Economic Confidence Data Due

On Tuesday, the focus will be on the economic sentiment from Germany and the foreign trade data from the euro area, highlighting an otherwise light day for European economic news.

At 4:00 AM ET, the European Central Bank is set to release the bank lending survey results.

Simultaneously, Italy's statistical office, ISTAT, will publish the final consumer price data for June. The consumer price inflation is anticipated to hold steady at 0.8 percent for June, in line with initial estimates.

At 5:00 AM ET, the much-anticipated ZEW economic sentiment survey data from Germany is scheduled for release. Predictions suggest a significant drop in the ZEW economic confidence index to 42.5 in July, down from 47.5 in June.

Additionally, the euro area will release its foreign trade data. The trade surplus is expected to rise to EUR 17.1 billion in May, from EUR 15 billion in April.
