Spain Unemployment Declines In June

Spain experienced a significant drop in unemployment in June, as reported by the labor ministry on Tuesday.

The number of unemployed individuals fell by 46,783, or 1.79 percent, compared to the previous month. Registered unemployment figures totaled 2.56 million, marking the lowest level since August 2008.

Year-over-year comparisons reveal a decrease of 127,775 individuals, or 4.75 percent, in the unemployed population.

The data indicated a decline in registered unemployment across all sectors for June. Specifically, the services sector saw a reduction of 37,025, the industry sector decreased by 4,388, the construction sector fell by 2,954, and the farm sector witnessed a decline of 267.

Additionally, unemployment among young people decreased by 3,939 compared to the previous month.
