IBM announced on Wednesday the advancement of its collaborative venture with Riyadh Air, a fledgling airline planning its inaugural launch in 2025. This announcement was made at LEAP 2024, a prestigious annual tech event in Saudi Arabia. IBM and Riyadh Air's partnership began in November 2023, with IBM acting as a consultant to assist in the establishment of key business capabilities and innovative technologies for the airline's first flight.

Riyadh Air is striving to transform passenger interactions by leveraging IBM's managerial competence in areas like AI, customer engagement, and marketing. Taking advantage of IBM Garage's teamwork-oriented strategies, Riyadh Air is focused on delivering culturally immersive experiences for its passengers, both on the ground and while airborne.

IBM's tech consultants aim to improve Riyadh Air's digital passenger experience and make customer interactions more efficient across different channels using tools such as IBM's Watsonx and Adobe Experience Cloud. Eventually, IBM plans to create a suite of applications dedicated to optimizing the airline's operations and enabling its employees to deliver superior service to passengers.
