Solana to soar fivefold if Trump wins

Dizzying prospects are on the horizon for Solana if Donald Trump wins the presidential election! Just imagine, this asset could increase fivefold!

According to analysts at Standard Chartered, Solana could rise five times by the end of 2025 if the Republican candidate wins the US presidency. On top of that, their scenario suggests Bitcoin will see a fourfold increase, while Ethereum could triple. However, if Democratic candidate Kamala Harris wins, Bitcoin will surpass Ethereum, and Solana's growth will lag behind that of the second-largest cryptocurrency.

Specialists explain this difference by pointing to a higher likelihood of SOL ETF approval if Trump takes the White House. They also believe Solana is currently overpriced compared to its rivals.

Analysts noted that Solana’s supply grows by 5.5% annually, while Ethereum's inflation is just 0.5% per year. As a result, the real staking return for SOL is around 1%, compared to 2.3% for ETH.

Standard Chartered also highlights that 38% of major developers in the industry work within the Ethereum ecosystem, while only 9% work with Solana. Ф successful activation of the Firedancer update is essential for Solana's further rise, as it could increase the throughput to 1 million TPS.

By the end of 2025, Standard Chartered predicts that Bitcoin will reach an impressive $200,000, regardless of who wins the election. As for Ethereum, if Harris wins, its price could climb to $7,000, but if Trump wins, it may hit $10,000.

Analysts do not expect the registration of a Solana ETF in the United States by the end of 2024. What is more, they do not foresee much progress in 2025 either. According to Eric Balchunas, a Bloomberg analyst, only a leadership change at the SEC could shift the situation.
