The largest growth was shown by the Japanese Nikkei 225 - by 1.52%, the Australian S&P / ASX 200 added 0.68%. Today is a day off on the South Korean stock exchanges.

Investors are still closely following the development of the conflict in Eastern Europe. Yesterday, the first meeting between representatives of the Russian Federation and Ukraine took place on the territory of Belarus. Now the entire world community is waiting for the results of these negotiations. It is also reported that another round of negotiations will be scheduled in the near future.

One of the consequences of the escalation of the conflict was the decision of the leaders of the G7 member states to disconnect certain Russian banks from the SWIFT payment system. This limits the ability of international payments by institutions that have been sanctioned.

The latest statistics from China have had a positive effect on investor sentiment. The indicator of business activity in the industrial sector rose to 50.2 points last month. At the same time, it exceeded the forecasts of analysts, who expected not growth, but a decrease in this indicator to 49.9 points from the January level of 50.1 points. This indicator in the service sector also showed an increase from 51.1 points in January to 51.6 points in February. It should be noted that if the indicator rises above 50 points, this indicates an increase in activity in the sector. The reverse dynamics of the indicator signals a decrease in activity.

Among the companies on the Hong Kong stock exchange that showed an increase in the share price, it is necessary to note Tencent Holdings, Ltd. (+1.6%). At the same time, the value of securities of CSPC Pharmaceutical Group, Ltd., Xinyi Solar Holdings, Ltd., and CLP Holdings, Ltd. decreased by 3.35%, 3.3%, and 2.8%, respectively.

On the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (+6.85%), Tokyo Electric Power Co. increased the price more than others. Holdings Inc. (+6.36%) and M3 Inc. (+5.9%). At the same time, the stock quotes of Toyota Motor Corp. They fell by 0.3%, and Honda Motor Co., Ltd– - by 0.5%.

The Central Bank of Australia decided to keep the interest rate at a minimum level of 0.1%. The rate has been maintained at that level for 15 months. This corresponds to the forecasts of experts.

The value of securities of the Australian company BHP fell by 0.2%, and Rio Tinto by 0.3%.
