Five state leaders with highest ratings

US-based analytical company Morning Consult, specializing in public opinion research, has published a ranking of political leaders with the highest approval ratings in 2025. Let's find out who made it to the list of people's favorites.

Narendra Modi

At the top of the ranking is Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is supported by 75% of citizens, while only 19% are opposed. Modi, who has been in power since 2014, is known for his economic reforms, infrastructure upgrades, and strengthening national spirit. In 2024, his party, Bharatiya Janata Party, secured another victory in the parliamentary elections, allowing Modi to remain Prime Minister and go ahead with his ambitious initiatives for the country's development.

Claudia Sheinbaum

Mexico’s president Claudia Sheinbaum ranks second. Currently, she is approved by 66% of citizens, while only 26% are against her. Sheinbaum took office in 2024, becoming the country’s first female president. Prior to this, she served as the Mayor of Mexico City and was a close ally of Andrés Manuel López Obrador in the MORENA party. Her policies follow the path of her predecessor – social reforms, anti-corruption measures, and improving security.

Javier Milei

With a 65% approval rating, Argentina’s president Javier Milei ranks third in the approval ranking, despite 30% of citizens being opposed to him. Milei came to power in 2023, winning the elections with pledges of radical economic reforms. Previously, he was an economist and a legislator known for his libertarian views and criticism of traditional politics. In 2025, he aims to cut government spending, fight inflation, and promote the dollar as an alternative currency, which has sparked social support and controversy.

Karin Keller-Sutter

Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter is in fourth place. She is supported by 56% of citizens, while 20% express discontent. Keller-Sutter was inaugurated as president in 2024, representing the Free Democratic Party. Before her presidency, she served as the Minister of Finance. Her high popularity is based on her pragmatic approach to the economy, inflation control, and strong business support.

Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump takes the fifth rank. He owes his presidency to the support of 52% of the population. Trump, who returned to the White House after winning the elections in 2024, has once again focused on the slogan “America First.” Currently, he is pushing for strict immigration policies, tax cuts, and high tariffs on imported goods to give a powerful boost to the US economy.
