Belgium Producer Inflation Slows in February

In February 2025, Belgium witnessed a 3.2% year-on-year increase in producer prices, which represented a deceleration from January's nearly two-year peak of 4.4%. This trend marked the fourth consecutive month of rising producer prices, albeit at a moderated rate. Cost pressures eased across both domestic markets, down to 4% from 4.9% in January, and non-domestic markets, which decreased to 1.6% from 3.3%. Additionally, the inflation rate for durable consumer goods slowed to 0.4% from 0.8%, for non-durable consumer goods to 3.3% from 5.8%, and for energy to 4.4% from 6.3%. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices experienced a 0.2% rise in February, following a 0.3% increase in the previous month.
