Australia Monthly CPI at 3-Month Low

In February 2025, Australia's monthly Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 2.4% year-on-year, slightly down from the four-month peak of 2.5% recorded in January, and just below market predictions of 2.5%. This represented the lowest inflation rate observed since November of the previous year. Additionally, the annual trimmed mean inflation showed a slight decrease, slipping to 2.7% from 2.8% in January. When excluding volatile items and travel expenses, the CPI advanced by 2.7%, easing from a 2.9% increase in the preceding month.
