Japan Producer Prices Climb 2.7% On Year In August

Producer prices in Japan experienced a 2.7% year-on-year increase in August, according to data released by the Bank of Japan on Wednesday. This figure remains unchanged from the revised July rate, which was adjusted upwards from an initial 2.6%.

On a monthly basis, producer prices saw a modest rise of 0.1%, a slight decrease from the 0.3% recorded in the previous month.

When excluding international transportation costs, the producer prices still reflected a 0.1% monthly increase and a 2.7% annual increase.
