Church & Dwight Trims FY24 Adj. EPS Outlook - Update

Church & Dwight Co., Inc. (CHD) released its third-quarter financial results on Friday and has revised its adjusted earnings growth forecast for the entire 2024 fiscal year, although it has upheld its projection for annual net sales expansion.

This revised guidance contrasts with the company's earlier expectations, which predicted an earnings growth of 12 to 13%, alongside an adjusted earnings increase of 8 to 9%, with the same net sales growth and organic sales growth estimates.

Analysts, based on data from Thomson Reuters, generally foresee the company achieving earnings of $3.43 per share, with revenue growth of 3.6%, reaching $6.08 billion for the year. It is important to note that these analyst predictions typically exclude any special items.

Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, Church & Dwight projects earnings of $0.75 per share along with adjusted earnings of $0.76 per share. This comes with anticipated net sales growth between 1.5% and 2.5% and organic sales growth estimated to be between 2.0% and 3.0%.

In comparison, market analysts are aiming for earnings of $0.86 per share, with a revenue increase of 3.0%, totaling $1.57 billion for the quarter.
