Bloomberg ranks world's 25 richest families

Bloomberg has recently revealed a new ranking featuring the world's 25 wealthiest families. Notably, their wealth surged by 43% or $1.5 trillion in 2023. This year, the UAE's ruling Al Nahyan family has become the world's richest one with a staggering fortune of $305 billion, according to Bloomberg. The Walton family, founders of the Walmart store chain, holds a runner-up position with a net worth of $259.7 billion. Notably, Walmart reported revenues of $611.3 billion for the current fiscal year. The owners of the French luxury label Hermes are third on the list with a net worth of $150.9 billion. The Mars family, known for their candy empire, is fourth on the list with a fortune of $141.9 billion. Rounding out the top five is the ruling dynasty of the Sheikhs and Emirs of Al-Thani of Qatar, with assets totaling $133 billion. This is their first appearance on Bloomberg's prestigious list.
