Saudi Arabia discovers four new oil and gas fields

Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman has recently announced the discovery of four new oil and gas fields in the country. One of the new oil fields was discovered by state-owned oil company Saudi Aramco in the east of Saudi Arabia, north-west of Dhahran. The second new oil deposit was found near the border with Iraq to the north-west of the city of Rafhaa. A new gas field discovered by Saudi Aramco is located at the Al-Minahhaz well, south-west of the Ghawar oil field. Finally, another gas discovery was made at al-Sahbaa well situated to the south of Ghawar. According to the Energy Minister, Saudi Aramco will continue to work on accessing the quantities of oil, gas, and condensate in the discovered fields in 2021.
