Apple shuts down stores in China over mounting coronavirus fears

Reportedly, Apple Inc. has closed many retail outlets in mainland China and in some cities in Eastern China in order to prevent the spread of the deadly virus. "Out of an abundance of caution and based on the latest advice from leading health experts, we’re closing all our corporate offices, stores, and contact centers in mainland China through February 9," Apple stated. Additionally, Apple also restricted employees to travel to China. An outbreak of coronavirus has been recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as an international emergency. On February 7, 2020, the 2019-nCoV coronavirus has infected more than 31,161 people in all regions of the country. The death toll has totaled 600 people, while 243 have been cured and discharged from hospitals. More than 100 causes of the epidemic have been reported outside China.
