As a result, his net worth has increased by almost $40 billion over the past year. Bernard Arnault is the world’s third-richest man on the planet with a fortune of at least $100 billion. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Amancio Ortega, the head of Inditex, are following him in the ranking taking the third and the second positions. Their fortune increased by $22.1 billion and $17.3 billion respectively. Among those who incurred some significant losses was Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon and one of the wealthiest people in the world. In 2019, Bezos’ fortune dropped by approximately $13.1 billion due to a divorce. Indian tech magnate Azim Premji, the chairman of Wipro Limited, lost a billion less than Jeff Bezos. Finally, Subhash Chandra, the owner of the Indian media conglomerate Essel Group, found his capital shrunk by $3.4 billion.
