US lists fictional country Wakanda as trade partner

A serious trade conflict made the US search for new trade partners. According to the information published on the official website of the US Department of Agriculture, Wakanda was the US free-trade partner since June the 10th. Several items were listed for trade with Wakanda, including potatoes, domestic animals, and other goods. Vibranium did not make the list, though. Wakanda is a fictional country created by the authors of the Marvel universe. The Kingdom of Wakanda was added to the list of the US trade partners together with Colombia, Costa Rica, and Honduras. The unusual listing was spotted by Francis Tseng, a Twitter user. He got very confused and even tried to find the country on the map. However, Wakanda is mentioned only in Marvel Comics. The US Department of Agriculture had to approve that the screenshots made by Francis Tseng were authentic. It explained that Wakanda's listing was added as a test file for staff. "The Wakanda information should have been removed after testing and has now been taken down," a USDA spokesman said.
In the Marvel universe, Wakanda is the fictional East African home country of superhero Black Panther. It is mineral rich thanks to a substance called vibranium. Wakanda first appeared in the comics in 1966. Black panther is the richest hero in the Marvel Universe. His wealth amounts to $500 billion.
