It’s hard to believe, but the US investors put in hefty sums in Russia’s projects. According to the Europe Attractiveness Survey conducted by the EY consulting group, the country that chose the biggest number of Russian investment projects in 2018 was the United States. Trust the Russian media to exaggerate the importance of this news. Allegedly, the US investors line up to put their money in Russia. Surely, it is not so, but the fact remains that the Americans showed an unexpected interest in Russia's investment projects, so that their number sharply increased to 33 while the previous number was 19. Germany took the second place in the list of the countries that find Russia attractive for investments. It invested in 24 projects. Remarkably, China, that is considered to be Russia’s strategic partner, put in money in just 19 projects that was 70% less than the previous figure. However, these seemingly upbeat statistics do not change the overall situation. The outflow of both foreign and domestic capital from Russia continues rising. Some investors don’t want to risk their money and reputation.
