Lenovo

Lenovo Group Limited is the world’s largest PC vendor ranking number one on the list of global computer producers. The company contributes to a 22.5% share of PC sales in the world market. It was estimated that in 2018 Lenovo total PC shipments reached impressive 259.4 million units. The company’s main research centres are located in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen (China), as well as in Yamato (Japan). Lenovo corporation provides services to customers in more than 160 countries.

HP Inc.

Second place in this ranking goes to HP Inc., an American IT company created four years ago as a result of the merger with Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Its global market share totals 21.7%. The newly created company took on the production of personal computers and printers. There are around 50,000 employees in the company. Its production is mainly located in the USA, Singapore, Malaysia, and Israel.

Dell

American IT corporation Dell ranks third among the largest manufacturers of computer equipment in the world. It is one of the world's biggest computer manufacturers with a global market share of 16.2%. The company develops, produces, sells and supports computers and related products and services. Among them are such products as desktop computers, laptops, PDAs, tablets, servers and data storage devices (NAS), computer peripherals (monitors, printers, video cameras), MP3 players, TVs, and consumer electronics.

Apple

According to analysts, this leading American corporation has recently lost ground in global sales with its market share not exceeding 6.9%. Nevertheless, Apple is still considered to be the largest manufacturer of personal computers and tablets, audio players, phones, and software. The company ranks fourth on the list. Apple is a pioneer in the field of PCs and modern multitasking operating systems with a graphical interface.

Acer group

Acer ranks fifth among the world’s top largest PC vendors. This Taiwan-based computer technology and electronics corporation has 6.1% in the global market share. The company designs and manufactures monitors, communicators, disk drives, network cards, desktop computers, keyboards, laptops, projectors, etc.

ASUS

This largest Taiwanese company produces computers, laptops, and Internet tablets. ASUS is number six in the ranking of the world’s biggest computer manufacturers. The company also focuses on producing high-quality computer components, such as motherboards, graphics and sound cards, optical drives, monitors, external drives, mobile phones, smartphones, and routers. ASUS share in the global computer market amounts to 6%.
