Summing up the results of this year, the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation analyzed the situation with jobs in the Russian market and concluded that specialties in the highest demand in 2017 were engineering ones. In particular, the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation noted a significant increase in salaries in five sectors.

Science sector

The first place was occupied by the sphere of scientific research and development. According to the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation, the incomes of those employed in this sector rose by a record 11.4%, more than double the growth of wages in Russia as a whole (5%). According to experts, there is an increase in demand for research workers among companies engaged in innovative development.

Banking sector

The second place in the list of companies with the highest wages is held by organizations whose activities are related to finance and insurance. The growth here was 9.3%. In 2016, the average salary in the financial sector reached 80 thousand rubles.

Manufacturing sector

The third place among the spheres of activity with the highest wages went to the enterprises of the manufacturing sector. The growth of salaries in this industry was 8.8%. According to experts, the average salary in manufacturing industries is 45 thousand rubles.

Agriculture and Forestry sector

The fourth place is taken by the agriculture and forestry sector. The increase in salaries in this sphere amounted to 8.8%. Experts believe that the income growth at the enterprises of this branch is associated with the emergence of many new companies, where new professions with decent wages have created.

Mining sector

The last in the list are enterprises where specialists in mining are in demand. The amount of labor payment in this sphere increased by 8.1%. According to Rosstat, last year the average salary in this sector was 70 thousand rubles.
