    MWC 2017, or Mobile World Congress 2017 to give it its full name, is the world's biggest phone show, and this year it's happening right now - from February 27 to March 2. Many of 2017's most high-profile handsets have been announced over the course of the show, including novelties from Nokia, LG and Samsung. The Russian companies, including 20 residents of "Skolkovo", also showcased some technological innovations.

    This year at the MWC 2017, Russian developers have submitted 20 startups. For example, the company Multi Digital Services presented a platform that can almost entirely solve the crucial problem of roaming. It allows virtual operators (MVNO) to provide its users with communication and local tariffs in more than 100 countries worldwide.

    The new Nokia 3310. The original 3310 launched 17 years ago but it's still fondly remembered. You won't find a touchscreen, Android or Windows, cameras or apps here. This is a phone that's faithful to the original. The design is more of an update that a makeover, making the already pocketable phone slimmer and lighter. The new Nokia 3310 will be available in four colors; the original blue and grey along with the newer, and brighter yellow and warm red. Only the "Snake" game and classic Nokia ringtone remained the same.

    The company TLC, the new owner of Alcatel and Blackberry, also presented its novelties. It showed three cheap phones at MWC 2017: Alcatel U5, A3 and A5 LED. The most interesting one is A5 LED, a new smartphone that is covered in LEDs. The lights illuminate when you get a notification, displaying different colours to distinguish between incoming calls, messages, alarms and social media alerts.

    Also, there were new gadgets from Samsung at MWC 2017. The company released the new tablet Galaxy Tab S3 and Galaxy Book, as well as improved virtual reality glasses with a master controller. Galaxy Tab S3 is equipped with a screen Super AMOLED. One model - Galaxy Book - has a TFT LCD-display, the other - the screen Super AMOLED. The highlight of the Galaxy Tab S3 and Galaxy Book is video playback in the format of HDR. The Samsung Flow technology with biometric authentication is used, which allows to connect compatible devices to transfer various information.

    Lenovo brought to the exhibition two affordable smartphones: Moto G5 and G5 Plus. They installed a new version of the Android operating system 7 Nougat. The model Moto G5 is equipped with Full HD-display, main and front cameras. There are also Lenovo Tab 4 8, Lenovo Tab 4 10, and the more powerful the Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus and Tab 4 10 Plus. All devices have proprietary multiplayer mode, allowing you to create accounts with premoderating access to the Google Play app.

    Sony has pleased its fans with the Xperia smartphone line. The flagship XZ Premium features a 4K display with a wide range (HDR), and also supports ultra-fast file downloads. The device is equipped with the latest and very powerful chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. The device is water- and dustproof, its battery runs for the updated Smart Stamina technology. The highlight of the Xperia XZ Premium is considered to be a new camera mode - predictive shooting, which is possible thanks to the frame buffering before pressing the shutter.

    The Chinese ZTE also tried to surprise its fans with its novelties. The representatives of the companies argue that ZTE has demonstrated the world's first smartphone capable of operating in the standard 5G networks. The massive use of the network of the future is possible not earlier than 2020, the developers say. However, ZTE claims that the smartphone can cope with speeds of one gigabit per second. The device is very cumbersome, and at the MWC 2017 it can only be seen under glass.
