For the majority of international mass media the Donald Trump's victory was completely unexpected. The shocked world's publications have blossomed with headlines, playing off the famous billionaire's surname. For example, the British newspaper Daily Mail named one of its articles "Trumpquake", and the British journal NewStatesman - Trumpocalypse.
- While the Australian newspaper The Daily Telegraph established a parallel between D. Trump and unclean powers, by naming one of the articles "WTF", the Canadian Le Journal de Quebec released the article with the headline "OH MY GOD!", conveying the same ironic meaning.
The similar headline "OMG, IT'S TRUMP" has appeared in one of the Philippine publications.
- In the French newspaper Liberation the new U.S. president was cruelly nicknamed "American Psycho".
The German newspaper Die Welt played off its headline very interesting, by naming it, after the D. Trump's victory, "Die Welt steht kopf" (the world turned upside-down). The upturned inscription stretches across the whole photo of the famous billionaire.
The Chinese media didn't stay aside as well. In one of the newspapers on the front page there were the photo of Donald Trump and inscription "The Trump's victory was a shock for America".
