FX.co ★ The list of the most reliable and unreliable used vehicles: the German experts' opinion

A SUV Mercedes GLK (in the picture) and a sports car Porsche 911 turned out to be the most reliable vehicles in the secondary market of Germany. The TÜV experts evaluated quality of the automobiles. The final grades were based on the results of 9 million tech inspections.

Troubles in the above mentioned auto models are quite rare – in 2.1% of cases.

Besides of the overall rating, top lists for every age group were prepared. So, the most qualitative car in the segment of 2-3-year-olds turned to be a B-class model from Mercedes-Benz with the W 246 body type. Troubles in the car are common for 2.8% of cases. The second position belongs to a 2-3-year-old GLK from Mercedes-Benz, the third one – Mercedes-Benz SLK.

A1 hatchback from Audi (in the picture) is admitted as the most reliable vehicle among 4-5-year-old ones. The automobile requires repair in 5.7% of cases. The medal places in the subgroup were also given to a BMW Z4 convertible (the second place) and Q5 from Audi.

In the subgroup of 10-11-year-old cars, the first place came to Porsche 911 in the body of 996. Technical problems of the model are common in 13.9% of cases. The second place was taken by a 10-11-year-old Japanese – a Toyota Corolla Verso minivan, the third one – a RAV4 crossover from the same Toyota.

An ultra-compact Chevrolet Spark, the age of which equals to 2-3 years, least of all impressed the experts – the percentage of troubles with the model reaches 14.6%. Fiat 500 and Fiat Punto are on the second and third places of the outsiders' list, respectively.

The most unreliable vehicle in the subgroup of 4-5-year-olds is Dacia Logan. The model breaks down in 28,1% of cases. Fiat Panda and Dacia Sandero follow after Logan.

The most problematic in the subgroup of 6-7-year-old vehicles turned to be Chevrolet Matiz – the percentage of troubles achieves 34.6%. Dacia Logan of the same age takes the second position, Renault Kangoo – the third one.

In the subgroup of 8-9-year-old vehicles, Renault Kangoo is the most freakish one – the automobile requires repair in 35.1% of cases. Sorento from the Korean brand KIA scored the same points. The two above mentioned cars are kept company with Renault Twingo.

Fiat Stilo in the 192th body and at the age of 10-11 years causes the most troubles to drivers – the percentage of breakdowns reaches 44%. The second place is given to a used Mercedes-Benz M-class, the third one – Ford Galaxy.
