In 1974, an attempt was made on the life of her father - then Park Chung-hee was not injured, but his wife was killed. The politician was killed in 1979 during the next attempt. Park Geun-hye had been living non-public life for many years after the murder of her father. Again, the daugther of the former head of South Korea appeared in public in 1998 - then, she was elected to the state parliament. In 2012, Park Geun-hye, repeating her father's political career, became the president of the state.
