FX.co ★ Vladimir Putin meets with King of Monaco Albert II

On October 6, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Sovereign Prince of Monaco Albert II in Moscow. The official part of the meeting took place in the Kremlin. After official talks they attended exhibition "The Romanovs and the Grimaldis. Three Centuries of History. XVII-XX" in the State Tretyakov Gallery.

Commenting on the importance of the exhibition, Vladimir Putin noted that the Romanovs and the Grimaldis had dynastic proximity. Drawing an analogy with the present time, the Russian leader stressed that Moscow and Monaco often acted as allies and had similar positions on the European issues.

The head of the Principality of Monaco, in turn, expressed hope that business and friendly relations between the two states would only get stronger in the near future.

Albert II told Putin that the delegation of Monaco was glad to visit Moscow and met with representatives of the Russian government.

Heads of Russia and Monaco pledged to maintain the established level of cooperation between two states.

The diplomatic relations between the two countries were restored 10 years ago.
