Many people often want privacy, especially in large cities. However, the dense population of megacities leaves them no choice: one has to get along with neighbors. Nevertheless, some managed to achieve almost complete solitude. Such people have built their homes in inaccessible places and enjoy privacy. We offer you to get acquainted with seven such amazing houses.

One of these loner houses is located in Serbia, near the town of Bajina Basta. Surprisingly, it is located right in the center of the Drina River on a small stone. This wooden structure is more than half a century old. According to the owner, this single house is his refuge, in which a man intends to meet old age.

On one of the 18 islands of the Faroe Archipelago, in the northern part of the Atlantic Ocean, a lonely house stands on a cliff. Its master is unknown even to local residents, in connection with which this home, truly an introvert dream, has acquired many legends.

On the Faroe Islands in the village of Saksun lives no more than 30 people engaged in cattle breeding and farming. The area of the village is so huge that, walking around your house, you can not see nearby any neighboring buildings. This is the location of a small shepherd's cottage, located on the outskirts of other buildings. It gives the impression of a lonely habitation, where for thousands of kilometers you will not meet anyone.

Previously, on a lonely Holland island in the Dutch Strait, several fishing families lived. However, over a number of decades, the water level has been rising rapidly, which caused people to leave their homes and move to the mainland. As a result, there was only one house on the island. The water level is still growing, therefore, this white abandoned cottage will soon sink to the bottom.

In New Zealand, near Lake Tekapo, there is a small chapel, which is surrounded by endless fields of lupine. Nearby there is not a single building, so the inhabitants of this home can enjoy the loneliness.

A cute lonely house is located on the archipelago of Thousand Islands, owned by Canada and the United States. It includes 1864 islands, a chain of which stretches along the St. Lawrence River from Lake Ontario. This is a paradise for introverts, as well as for those dreaming of their own island. On each of the tiny pieces of the archipelago, only one house fits. Islanders can only travel by boat.

The dream of Simon Dale, a designer and architect from the UK, became a reality. As a child, he wanted to move from town to a remote village. Being a fan of Tolkien's works, he created a real hobbit house from the movie "The Lord of the Rings". The highlight of this building is a complete absence of corners and a real meadow on the roof. Construction lasted four months, and now the architect comes to this fairy-tale house to rest with his family.
