The explosion at the Manchester Arena stadium happened on Monday night, May 22, in Manchester, UK. As a result of the attack 22 people were killed.

According to the UK investigating authorities, there are children among the dead. Ambulance service claimed 59 people were injured.

The Manchester Arena is considered to be the largest indoor stadium in the European Union. The act of terrorism took place after the concert of the American singer Ariana Grande. At that time, visitors started to leave the concert hall.

Witnesses described a "huge bomb-like bang" and scenes of panic as young fans rushed out and parents waiting outside searched frantically for their children.

British Prime Minister Theresa May condemned it as “an appalling terrorist attack".
