For the last year 1.42 million cars have been realized in Russia. As the Association of European Businesses reports, the decrease to 2015 was 11%.

During the year Lada Granta and Hyundai Solaris contended for the championship of sales. The last one won. The unchallenged leadership of Hyundai Solaris was supported by the record number of the sold cars – 90,380 for the whole period.

The second place in sales takes to Lada Granta. For the year 87,726 vehicles of the model have been realized.

On the third place of honor turns out to be the Korean model KIA Rio. The sales of the car achieved 87,662 on a year-on-year basis.

The fourth place is given to Lada Vesta. The model was included in top-5 of the most popular cars of 2016. The volume of realized vehicles reahed 55,174.

In the previous year the sales of Volkswagen Polo in the RF amounted to 47,702 cars. The figure is 5.1% higher than the rate of 2015. The model took the fifth position in terms of sales volume.

On the sixth place of the most in-demand cars is Renault Duster – 44,001 realized vehicles.

The seventh place in the rating is given to Toyota RAV 4. The sales of the model reached 30,603 vehicles.

On the eighth position among the most in-demand vehicles of 2016 is Chevrolet Niva. The company managed to realize 29,844 automobiles.

The ninth place in the list goes to Renault Logan. The volume of sales is 29,565.

Lada Largus from the concern AvtoVAZ closes top-10 of the best-selling models. The automobile was bought by 29,341 people.
