During their boat trip on lake Ilmen, both politicians met with fishermen who were sitting at a fire and making soup.

The head of state promised to solve the problem with the clearing of rivers in the Novgorod region.

Also, the Prime Minister and the President promised to help preserve the way of catching fish with the help of special wooden boats without motor and fuel called soima.

To date, the existing legislation does not allow registration of soima. After all, this type of boat does not fall into the category of small boats.

After the conversation, the fishermen treated the President and the Prime Minister to soup. The Prime Minister of Russia, having tried the first spoonful of soup, said, that he did not have a single piece of fish, but the soup was delicious.
