Photo: the novelty from Morgan Motor Company — EV3. Morgan is known for being a traditional car manufacturer, but that hasn't stopped it from looking to the future. Having promised a fully hybridized range by 2019, the boutique British brand has used the Geneva Motor Show to whip the covers off a fully electric version of its three-wheeler with a 241 km (150 mi) range.
Instead of the V-Twin motor attached to the front of the regular 3-Wheeler, the EV3 is powered by a 46 kW (62 hp) electric motor attached to the rear wheel. That's not a heap of power, but having one less wheel than regular car helps keep its weight down to under 500 kg (1102 lb). That light weight means the low-power EV will hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 9 seconds, with a claimed range of 241 km (150 miles).
Drayson Racing Technologies and the Lola Cars group have just revealed what is intended to be the fastest electric-powered racing car in the world. The Lola-Drayson B12/69EV features Drayson's brand new 4X2-640 electric drivetrain, inductive charging, composite battery power, moveable aerodynamics and electrical regenerative damping. Its four electric motors are said to deliver a whopping 850 horsepower and a top speed of around 200 mph.
Also, the Lola-Drayson can boast a battery capacity of 30 kilowatt-hours. The electric car can accelerate to 100 km in just three seconds. The maximum speed of an unusual car is 320 km /h.

The Lightning began life as a traditionally powered petrol vehicle in order to develop the car's chassis dynamics. Battery and motor technology applications allow the handling characteristics of the car to be optimised. The chassis derives its inherent dynamic quality from its aluminium honeycomb and carbon composite monocoque structure, essentially a Formula One derived concept that blends low mass with high impact qualities.
Three versions of the Lightning GT are currently planned for the release - a luxury model, a lightweight sports model capable of reaching 0-60mph in less than four seconds and an extended range model designed to travel up to 250 miles on a single 10 minute charge.
Porsche will soon launch the serial production of its own concept car - Porsche Mission. The Porsche Mission E is directing its sights fully on the likes of Tesla. A completely electric car with incredible performance. The electric motors will produce 591 horsepower, propelling the sleek, silent sports car from 0-60 miles per hour in an astounding 3.5 seconds.
As an honest-to-goodness fully electric sports car, the Mission E has its own electric charger design. It uses an 800-volt charger to 'refuel' and can reach 80 percent capacity in just a short 15 minutes.
